Style for All
StellaBegonias is a New York based personal styling and shopping firm that provides style consultations for both men and women. Our goal is to make style something accessible and fun for ALL.
StellaBegonias began as a small idea during a shopping trip to Bloomingdales. Jodie, SB’s founder, was shopping with her brother’s girlfriend, Heidi, who was saying things like, “See, I love this shirt, but I would never know how to wear it.” Jodie would respond with a laundry list of options. As the shopping trip progressed, it became clear that Jodie needed to make a trip to Heidi’s closet to help her shop it and create some outfits. This was not the first closet Jodie had shopped nor was this the first friend or family member Jodie helped style, but it was the first time when Jodie realized she had a true passion for styling. With some encouragement from Heidi and a few of her other friends, StellaBegonias was born.
Jodie lives by Kate Spade’s mantra, “Playing dress-up begins at age 5 and never truly ends.” Always passionate about fashion, she has made sure it has always been an integral part of her life. With a background in event planning for many of NYC’s top restaurant groups, many of her clients were top fashion, beauty and publishing houses, allowing her to harness her creativity and love for all things pretty. Fashion started as a hobby and has slowly become Jodie’s life. Jodie started StellaBegonias because she truly believes that people should do what they love. Jodie loves working with people, figuring out who they are and who they want to be stylistically. She loves partaking in the adventure of self-discovery with each of her clients.
StellaBegonias aims to make fashion, shopping, styling and curing closets fun. We want our clients to approach fashion with a clean eye and a renewed sense of confidence. We want to help people find their stylistic voice and instill a passion for self-expression through what they wear. Our goal is to help our clients save time and money while refreshing their current wardrobes and picking up new and exciting pieces at any budget. What you wear should not be a source of stress; it should be a source of pride and tell the story of who you are.
